The W124 series Mercedes are built to last and the design has aged wellAll the controls have a nice hefty feel to them.The doors shut with a satisfying "thunk".The V8 with its tall gearing while not so quick off the line, cruises effortlessly at 100+ mph and still manages between 18-23mpg.The gated 4 speed auto has a nice quality feel when throwing it into "D" or shifting maually.When I lost a key, I got a new one from the local dealership in 24 hours for only $18..
