Mar. 29, 2006 - Tim gets a new car....

Got to meet a group of Richmond e28 lovers Wednesday. We all met at Leonard's house to see the transaction between he and Tim go down. Tim sure got a great car. That thing looked perfect. And judging from Tim's post-drive report, sounds like it runs like a million bucks too. Thanks you guys for your hospitality. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of each other. Here are some pics. Leonard, Mike, Jon, Greg & Jay,
Thanks so much for the warm welcome last Thursday (3/29/06) when I flew up to VA to pick-up my "new" '87 535is from Leonard. It was just great to meet you guys and to share in the joy of my picking up another fine example of the venerable e28. This is my THIRD '87 535i/is since January of 2000. I regretted selling the other two and so this one will be a keeper. The trip home was very smooth and uneventful. Man, I do like that Mark D'Sylva EAT performance chip! I averaged 24-24.5mpg @ 75-80mph and had a few high-speed runs while playing tag with some guys in an e46 coupe. Look forward to seeing you guys again...hopefully at 5erFest06 in late May.
