Jul. 13, 2006 - Center Console/Armrest
So yesterday I took a trip to the local
Pick and Pull (junkyard), and found a part that I have been wanting to
add to my car for years, a center console/armrest. This piece was only
found in the 5 generation civic four doors, and since I have a two
door, I never had one. But thanks to the standardization that honda
used ten years ago this thing just bolts right up. The one I found was
grey and in great shape considering where I found it. However the
problem is that the trim piece it replaces is black, so I had to paint
it. It's not a perfect match, but is it not as noticable as in the
picture. I left the lid gray, and I may upholster it later. It may not
be a big change but I gained a tiny bit more cargo space, which is hard
to come by for this car.
