7402TII

Description

I plan to use this as a brief log for people to look at and see whats going on with the little car. If I can remember I'll post photos of projects and blunders. The 74tii is a fine automobile and I fully intend to let everyone know just how fine it really is.

buying the 2002tii

I looked here on roadfly along with about 40 other sites, autotraders, newspapers, pennysavers, readers and more websites.  I knew that it was a tii I wanted.  I prefered a 72 or 73, but would settle for a 74.  I found a 74, it was in Stockton, CA.  At the time I was living in Oceanside, CA (now living in Temecula) so I rented a trailer and my dad and I drove up to Stocton to get the car.
As far as I was concerned the car looked great (from 15 feet), so it had a few runs in the paint and had undergone a color change from tiaga to chamonix.  The engine bay and trunk were still tiaga... lame!
It ran rough and needed some attention fast, I figured this was the car for me.  What swayed me to get it was the fact that the top end was fresh (15k) and the Kfisher was also replaced at the same (aprox) time.  so where the tierods.  All things considered, the PO had put about 4k into it rescently.
For only $4500 I drove the car to the uhaul rental center and loaded it on a trailer for the trip home.   What did I get myself into..............................
