7402TII

Description

I plan to use this as a brief log for people to look at and see whats going on with the little car. If I can remember I'll post photos of projects and blunders. The 74tii is a fine automobile and I fully intend to let everyone know just how fine it really is.

74o2TII

well, this is my car the day after the "return to the sleepy hollow" rally on October 8th, 2005.
I purchased the car for a rolling restoration... gas prices went up...
Well, to say the least, Its a daily driver for my 60 mile round trip commute to work every day.
Then my brother and I were introduced to road rallying.  SWEET!
Its so much fun!
Rallys usually start durring the day and end at night.  We have done an 8 hour rally and a 9 hour rally.  So, the night part is why you see some old school "jack-man" off road lights on the front of the car. I borrowed (permantly) them from my father, he used them on the vw baja bug back in the 70's.
Wow, they really light up the road. I can only imagine what the newer rally lights can do.  I mounted them on the tubes for a short bumper kit.  Works perfectly and almost looks like they belong.  I dont intend to put a front bumper back on, just a little zender style spoiler.  The back side of the car will take some work to make it look right (ie.. the three huge square holes from the 74 rear bumper), but I found a guy in canada that makes fiberglass bumpers for the 2002, 73 and earlier type.
More to come on that, should be later next year before I get around to that.
